In this case, the client’s wildest desire was simply to have a space for cuddling up with a book, a glass of wine, and taking in a little nature. Creating a fluid style within the home and the connecting spaces were also on the top of the list. Here’s how I achieved a comfy, welcoming, and transitional sunroom. I used Sherwin Williams Black Magic, 6991 and ----- White to create high contrast,[such a classy look] mixing various shades of greens to shock and compliment simultaneously. A teak coffee table is added to bring in a sense of warmness while contributing to the natural appeal of the room. I chose Elton, Dove for the cuddler, an olive-like color, found in the rug. The cuddler’s fabric is 100% Sunbrella Solution Dyed Acrylic, and get this…IT’s SOFT and are made with highly UV-stable pigments! Simply put…it can take the sun for years and years to come! The sofa is covered in a similar fabric, however, the color is soft white. The home’s style can be identified as transitional, therefore, I choose an upholstered covered base for the sofa instead of the typical skirted. Black and antique gold accent pieces can be found in the room supporting this style as well. The antique palm rug is exquisite and does a great job connecting all the pieces here. Naturally, we continue to allow nature in with numerous indoor potted plants. This not only supports the design well, but it purifies the air. Overall, we have a space here that is comfy, warm, and stylish! Now, with this space….Are you Green with Envy?
